PostCast Server For those who travel with a laptop, this is maybe the most important software you should install before you travel. More and more hotels provide you with Internet connection - but how many have not got following message the first times we tried to send a mail: "550 Relaying is prohibited". Soon we discovered that we could not send mail if it was not through our local service provider - and to call half the way around the word is not exactly what one want to do just to send mail. Many went to online mail services - but why should one do this while there is a free server software that can be used for sending mail from anywhere? Meaning, with PostCast Server installed on your computer you become your own postmaster and can send mail through any connection, anywhere in the world - using your own email client. For the configuration, don't worry it's very easy. Basically you just change your local smtp address in your email software to "localhost" - and voila you are ready to travel with your own email setup intact and fully working!

Fact is that the database is from CIA's factbook and the software from Gravitybox.com - and the combination gives a brilliant tool to find information about any country's geography, people, government, economy, communications, transportation and more. Remember to download the extra file that contains maps for the countries. Nobody should miss this one.
African Geography Tutor A continent tutor from familygames.com, here with the African continent. Lot's and lot's of countries here - but with this small tool you can find any country either by finding the name and the map shows you where it's located. Or you can click anywhere on the map and find the country name.
Country Codes by PJAK Software A tiny download that give you essential information to your fingertips. Write a name of a country and you get the internet abbreviation for same country - and phone code to that country. Then how many times have you seen a country abbreviation in the end of a URL address and wondered what country it is.
