For hotels we have included the famous Mediterranean city Alexandria - today with a renewed interest to visitors, not at least because of two parts featured strongly in media. First it's Cleopatra's city found under water - which opens for real archaeological diving, and the new library in Alexandria.


arrow Marsa Matruh
Marsa Matruh in east is known for its beautiful beached and its World War II history. For others this small city is the entrance to the Siwa Oasis who in antiquity hosted an oracle as famous as the oracle in Delphi.

On the north coast of the Sinai Peninsula is also a small city known for its beaches, or rather its beautiful palm beaches. Al Arish is also a city not known by mass tourism that is essential among the Bedouins at Sinai - with a good Bedouin museum and a weekly Bedouin market.
