Al Arish is the capital of Northern Sinai, and on the road the Holy Family entered some two thousand years ago to seek security in Egypt.

Today Al Arish are famous for its beautiful palm beaches, and once a week there is Bedouin market here in the old city. This is not a market arranged for tourists, so its highly recommended to go there. If you don't get the right weekday for this market, there is two other Beduin market each week close to Al Arish where you can go.

A visit to the Bedouin museum here is important, but do not forget the local fish restaurants here. You will hardly get gourmet food for such prices anywhere else.
